Sika Anoa'i, born Leati Sika Amituanai Anoa'i, has passed away at the age of 79. Known as "Sika" or "The Wild Samoan," he was a renowned professional wrestler from American Samoa and a beloved member of the legendary Anoa'i wrestling family.
A Wrestling Legacy
Anoa'i started his wrestling career in the 1960s and rose to prominence as part of the Wild Samoans tag team with his brother, Afa. Together, they won multiple championships and became household names in the world of pro wrestling.
Sika also had a personal connection to The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, who is his nephew. Johnson, who initially wrestled as Rocky Maivia, often credited Sika for his guidance and support.
